Abu Dhabi Ports, the developer, operator and manager of commercial and community ports within Abu Dhabi, has been awarded certification by LRQA to ISO 22301, the international management system standard for Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS).
ISO 22301 specifies the requirements for setting up and managing an effective BCMS, which reduces the potential risk of disruptive incidents when they arise.
Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, commented: “Abu Dhabi Ports is committed to adopting best practices, in line with the Abu Dhabi Government’s aim to achieve excellence across all its business units and service offerings. Achieving ISO 22301 certification is an important milestone, as it further showcases our capability to tackle situations at all stages, including identifying potential threats, evaluating their probable impacts and developing capabilities to minimise the influence of business disruption.”
