ISO 14064-3 has become the latest standard to progress to the next stage of the ISO revisions process, reaching Committee Draft (CD) stage.
ISO 14064-3:2006 - Greenhouse gases -- Part 3: Specification with guidance for the validation and verification of greenhouse gas assertions will now be open for two months during which time members involved in the development can vote and make comments on the CD.
During the CD stage, those wishing to contribute to the revision can do so through their ISO national standards body.
Commenting on the significance of the revision to ISO 14064-3, Ged Farmer, LRQA Sustainability Technical Manager said; “With the topic of global warming and greenhouse gas monitoring becoming ever relevant for global industry, the revision to ISO 14064-3 and the ISO 14064 series represents a significant opportunity to shape the future of the standards, in order that verification and validation of emissions meets the needs of modern organisations.”
The technical committee responsible for the development of these standards, ISO TC 207/SC7 is led by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) members, the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC).
