The GFSI Global Food Safety Conference is only three weeks away and during the event, which runs in the USA from 26-28 February, LRQA will be sharing a stage with Barilla - one of the world’s leading pasta and ready-made pasta sauces manufacturers - for a presentation entitled “Going global: Barilla’s food safety certification journey.” The presentation, to be held at 8 am on 27 February, will explain why developing an effective food safety management system across a global organisation is vital for consumer safety and protecting a company's reputation.
During the session, discover why Barilla chose FSSC 22000 – the complete food safety management system certification scheme - and what lessons have been learned. In addition, the session will address auditor calibration - ensuring a consistent, high level assessment and assessor each and every time, regardless of geographical location - is a vital part of Barilla and LRQA's approach to food safety management as Giorgio Beltrami, Quality and Food Safety Director at Barilla recently explained, “For an international organization like Barilla, auditor calibration is important to ensure meaningful food safety assessments. LRQA’s sector-specific expertise and approach to auditor competency has helped us to gain more value from our food safety management system.”
This session will also include a panel discussion featuring representation from Mr Beltrami along with Cor Groenveld, LRQA Global Head of Food Supply Chain Services and Vel Pillay, LRQA Food Safety Programs Manager and will be followed by a question and answer session.
